● 概要/Summary
和楽器の箏(こと)と西洋楽器のSaxを組み合わせた”和-BOSSA”という新しい音楽 スタイルを発案し、2000年より活動を開始、JAQUWA/寂和（ジャクワ）という ユニット名で東京、沖縄、ニューヨーク、ベトナム、インドにて活動中。

● 略歴/Biography
東京生まれ。 幼少の頃よりピアノを始める。
学生時代にドラム、ギター、ピアノ、SAXを独学で学び、2000年現代邦楽研究所 にて、箏を学ぶ。同年、"大和の不思議な記憶"を創作テーマに、箏/qo-toを フィーチャーした和ボッサユニットAquA/を立ち上げ活動開始。

2001年9月11日米国同時多発テロの犠牲者追悼のレクイエムアルバム（鎮魂歌集） "pArfait Amour"をリリース。単身NYに渡り、同年クリスマスイブの深夜、残骸の 撤去作業が黙々と続けられるグラウンドゼロにて、箏で追悼演奏を行う。

同年、NY市庁舎、教会、アフガニスタン領事館等にCDを寄贈。当時のNY市長 ルドルフ・ジュリアーニ氏より感謝状を受領。

2008年、2009年NYに参り新たな9.11レクイエムアルバム"ordinAry"をリリース。各地に寄贈。 現市長のマイケル・ブルームバーグ氏、駐米イラク大使のT. Hamid Al-Bayati氏より 感謝状を受領。

2010年9月11日9周年記念日、グラウンドゼロすぐ近くにあるチャペルにて追悼 演奏を行う。

これまでに通算4枚のアルバムをリリース。iTunes Music Storeでも発売中。
最新作通算5枚目"will-eternAl"のリリース（2011年9月予定）に向けて、準備中。

● アジアの学童支援活動/Charity
音楽活動と並行して2006年9月より、世界中の学校で学べない子どもたちに学校を 提供し、和楽器（箏）の演奏を通じて、日本の伝統文化を発信する「1000人学校 プロジェクト」を発案。精力的に活動を継続している。

Since August 2000, created new music style of Jazz and Bossa Nova called "Wa-Bossa", by using Koto which is Japanese traditional strings instruments and Saxophone. Founded musical unit named "JAQUWA" which means Japan + Aqua + Wa (The Greatest Harmony of Universe). Main activity area is based on Tokyo, Okinawa(Southern island of Japan), New York City, Viet-nam, India and so on.

JAQUWA/寂和


Was born in Tokyo. Started plyaing Piano since childhood, During the school days, played drums, guitar, keyboard and Saxophone by self-taught. Since 2000, learned Koto at Modern Japenese Music Laboratory. Under the theme of Wonderful Memories of the Greatest Harmony of Universe, founded musical unit "AquA/", which created new music style of Jazz and Bossa Nova named "Wa-Bossa", started music activity since 2000.

On December 24th, 2001, released Requiem Album named "pArfait Amour" for innocent victims and survivors of 9/11 attacks, visited and plyed Koto at Ground Zero, NYC during removing debris through the night.

In the same year, dornated Requiem CD to City Hall, Church, Afgharnistan consular office and so on, received Thanks letter from Mr. Rudolph Juliani, ex-Mayor of NYC.

On December 2008, 2009, released 4th Album (2nd Requiem Album) "ordinAry" and donated again for City hall, Church and received Thanks letter from Mr. Michel Broomberg, Mayor of NYC and Mr. T. Hamid Al-Bayati, Ambassador, Permanent representative, Iraq.

On September 11th, 2010, visited and plyed Koto at Chapel near the Ground zero due to contribute music donation for innocent victims and survivors on 9th Anniversary of 9/11.


Released 4th album, not only CD, but also sales on iTunes Music Store as JAQUWA.
